Nigerian international forward Henry Onyekuru’s half-season loan to former club Galatasaray from AS Monaco has been a success for re-establishing Onyekuru’s form, but the move will not be made permanent. Media reports indicate that the club is more willing to invest in other talents identified for the next transfer window rather than activate the purchase clause in Onyekuru’s loan, which is €4.3 million. Onyekuru scored 5 goals in 13 games for Galatasaray and returned to the Nigeria national team fold for its two most recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
