After being relegated from the English Premier League in the 2019-20 season, Hertfordshire based club Watford FC is bouncing back up to the top division due to their clinching of second place in the EFL Championship. Nigeria national team starting central defender William Troost-Ekong was a regular for the club during their successful season, appearing in 32 of the team’s 45 games this year after a move from affiliated Serie A side Udinese.
