Grasshoppers Club Zurich have bounced back up to the top level of Swiss football, winning the 2020-21 second-tier Challenge League after being relegated for the first time in 68 years in 2019. To help continue the positive trends seen this season, the club announced the hiring of former Nigeria international midfielder Seyi Olofinjana as technical director. The 40-year-old previously acted as the loan manager at English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, a side he represented during his playing career.
