The major dispute related to the Sierra Leone-Benin Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match that was delayed due to the refusal of the Benin side to recognize the Covid-19 test results when five of their players were announced as testing positive by Sierra Leone. CAF determined that Benin’s claims for damages were not valid but still fined Sierra Leone $5,000 for “failure to respect the principles of loyalty, integrity, sportsmanship and ethics”.

The other announcements related to incidents from the 2020-21 CAF Confederation Cup.
