Recent call-up to the Nigeria Super Eagles, Taiwo Awoniyi, scored a brace to guide his Union Berlin side to a 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Mainz on Sunday. The 24-year-old has five goals in seven matches this season and Union currently sit in seventh place on the table. Awoniyi was called in to the Nigeria squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Central African Republic as a replacement for the injured Terem Moffi.
