Ghana likely need wins in their final FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in order to seal first place in Group G and advance to the final round. While a good amount of familiar faces from earlier in the campaign are called up by manager Milovan Rajevac for the matches against Ethiopia and South Africa, several new players are in the mix with the most notable names being teenager Felix Afena-Gyan of AS Roma and Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder Edmund Addo. Afena-Gyan made his debut for the Serie A side last month before featuring on Sunday against AC Milan, and a call up for the 18-year-old Sunyani native will continue his rapid rise.
The Black Stars face Ethiopia in a road match that will take place in South Africa due to an unsuitable stadium situation in the East African country, followed by a home clash against Bafana Bafana that looks like it will be of the utmost importance. Ghana currently trails South Africa by a point for top spot.
