Akinkunmi Amoo becomes the second Nigerian to win Allsvenskan young player award

Young Nigerian attacking midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo continued his career ascension this past season in Swedish football, accumulating over ten goals in all competitions for Hammarby on their way to a 5th place finish in the Allsvenskan. The 19-year-old Ibadan native was recognized for his efforts by winning the league’s Best Young Player award as he became a first team regular with over forty appearances. Amoo competed at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup for Nigeria as the Golden Eaglets progressed to the Round of 16.
