Ghana announces final AFCON squad, prepares for tune up friendly against Algeria

Ghana national team manager Milovan Rajevac announced his final 28-player Africa Cup of Nations squad on Tuesday, with two players cut from the initial provisional squad. 18-year-old AS Roma forward Felix Afena-Gyan and Salis Abdul Samed of Clermont Foot will not be traveling to Cameroon after being the players who did not make the final cut. Most of the names who featured during the recent FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign are there, including Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Black Stars will play a friendly match against defending AFCON champions Algeria on Wednesday. Ghana is preparing for the tournament in Qatar and will leave for Cameroon soon after the match against Algeria.
