While ten of Africa’s national teams clash for CAF’s five spots in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off as well during the next international break and Chad have a tough task ahead of them against The Gambia. A formidable veteran forward line that includes Belgium-based Marius Mouandilmadji, Ezechiel N’Douassel and Casimir Ninga highlight the 30-player provisional squad announced by manager Mahamat Alkaline Abakar this week along with goalkeeper Allambatnan Gabin of Cameroonian champions Cotonsport.
Due to stadium issues for both teams, Chad will host the opening leg in Yaoundé, Cameroon before traveling to Morocco for the second leg.
