Tunisia will feature a new coach but a mostly unchanged squad for their 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against Mali. Interim manager Jalel Kadri will lead the Carthage Eagles as they play the first leg in Bamako on March 25 before hosting the second leg in Tunis four days later. Defenders Dylan Bronn, Mohamed Dräger and Ali Maâloul are among the 28-player list as well as veteran attackers Wahbi Khazri and captain Youssef Msakni for Tunisia, who exited the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to Burkina Faso at the quarterfinal stage.
The first leg will be the first match for Tunisia under caretaker coach Kadri, who was an assistant under recently departed manager Mondher Kebaier and led the team in their Round of 16 victory against Nigeria due to Kebaier being infected with Covid-19.
