Ivorian box-to-box midfielder Franck Kessié will move to Spanish titans FC Barcelona following the end of the 2021-22 season. The 25-year-old is currently a key member of AC Milan in Italy’s Serie A where he has scored five goals in 23 appearances for the Rossoneri, who currently sit three points clear of Napoli at the top of the standings. The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano reports that Kessié has signed a four-year contract with Barcelona and will be on an annual salary of €6.5 million per year.
Kessié has made 214 appearances and scored 36 goals for Milan in all competitions since joining from Atalanta for the 2017-18 season.
