After the completion of the 2021-22 CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal draw, CAF conducted its draw for the 2021-22 CAF Champions League quarterfinal stage on Tuesday. The first drawn matchup appears to the be the most intriguing as defending CAFCL champions Al Ahly are set to take on Morocco’s Raja CA in a matchup between last season’s CAFCL and CAF Confederation Cup winners.
Two other ties see North African clubs facing off with Algerian club ES Sétif taking on Tunisia’s Espérance while another Algerian club, CR Belouizdad, clash with Wydad AC of Morocco. The final duel involves the two teams from outside North Africa, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns against Petro de Luanda of Angola.
The first legs will kick off on April 15 and 16. The full draw can be seen below.
