Al Ahly’s Ahmed Abdelkader wins CAFCL Player of the Week, headlines Team of the Week

It was a tense final match of the CAF Champions League group stage for defending titlists Al Ahly, but when the Egyptian team needed a moment of brilliance to find a way past Sudan’s Al-Hilal it was winger Ahmed Abdelkader who provided it with a brilliant dribbling move leading to his assist of Hussein El Shahat’s winner. The promising 22-year-old attacker won the Player of the Week in the CAFCL for his efforts and leads the way in the Team of the Week, which features a couple of players each from Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad AC as well.
