Zimbabwe and Kenya’s national teams are currently banned from international competition due to suspensions levied by FIFA on both countries’ footballing associations for “third party interference”, but CAF has decided keep both teams in Tuesday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations draw. “We have included the two countries in the hope that the bans will be lifted not later than two weeks before the first matchday in June,” stated a CAF spokesperson as the African footballing body gave a deadline of the middle of May for the countries to get back in the good graces of FIFA.
