AFCON Qualifying: Liberia look to prove doubters wrong after being labeled “weakest team” in Group K

South Africa is widely viewed as a team that received a tough draw for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group but Bafana Bafana manager Hugo Broos may have made a mistake when he suggested that Liberia were the weakest team in Group K. Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Anthony Laffor, also a past regular for the Lone Star, suggested that Liberia are more than capable of surging into the top-2 in a group that includes South Africa, Morocco and potentially Zimbabwe depending on if their FIFA ban is lifted.

Laffor remarked that plenty of Liberian players are making the move abroad with midfielder Oscar Dorley making a regular impact with top Czech side Slavia Prague.
