Group I: DR Congo to face 2021 AFCON finals participants

Three of the four teams who are in Group I for 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying participated in the 2021 edition in Cameroon but the one team that did not may be favorites to win the group. The Democratic Republic of Congo are determined to overcome failure to qualify in 2021 as well as falling at the final step of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying in order to return to Africa’s biggest national team competition.
