Former Tusker FC center back and captain Eugene Asike made the move from Kenyan to European football, signing a one-year contract with Swedish third-tier side Karlstad Fotball earlier this week. While Asike described his time at Tusker as a period where the “highs overwhelmed the lows”, Brewers manager Robert Matano stated his team will miss Asike while still trying to stay focused on winning a FKF Premier League title. Tusker are eight points back of Kakamega Homeboyz with eight matches remaining as they attempt to defend their title.
