The defending Africa U-20 Cup of Nations champions Ghana are preparing for the qualifying competition in their section and will partake in three friendly matches before heading off to Niger for the WAFU-Zone B U-20 tournament. The Black Satellites will play against a couple of second-tier Ghanaian clubs in Tema Youth and Heart of Lions as well as academy side Euro Africa.
Ghana defeated Burkina Faso in the final of the last WAFU-Zone B competition before taking top prize in the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania. They are paired in a very difficult group with Nigeria and Burkina Faso with the group stage set to start May 7.
