Cameroon captain and striker Vincent Aboubakar has been unable to return to the training pitch for Saudi club Al Nassr since seeing limited action in Cameroon’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Algeria, and Al Nassr confirmed that he will be on the sidelines for an extended spell. Aboubakar suffered a tear in the tissue tear in the sole of his foot and will miss competitive action when Al Nassr return to Saudi Pro League play after a break as well as Cameroon’s first two 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures.
