Rwanda’s Mukansanga headlines list of African referees to FIFA World Cup

Rwandan referee Salima Mukansanga continues to be among the female referees creating a path for more to come after being named as one of the designated center officials for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Mukansanga made history earlier this year by becoming the first woman to be the center referee for an Africa Cup of Nations match in Cameroon when Zimbabwe played Guinea in the group stage. Six center officials, ten assistant referees and two Video Assistant Referees will represent Africa and CAF at the competition in Qatar later this year and CAF Online has the full list in the link below.
