18-year-old Zambian starlet midfielder Miguel Chaiwa completed a massive step in his career after the announcement of his signing for Swiss club BSC Young Boys this week. Joining from Zambian club Shamuel FC, Chaiwa signed a four-year contract with Young Boys who will be competing in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season after finishing third in the 2021-22 Swiss Super League.
Described as a defensive midfielder who is also comfortable in defense, Chaiwa is a player who is being watched closely in Zambian footballing circles. Chaiwa made his senior national team debut with the Zambia national team in a friendly against Iraq in March, playing the full ninety minutes in a 3-1 defeat.
