Yves Bissouma completes big money move to Tottenham Hotspur

Mali national team star midfielder Yves Bissouma will be playing UEFA Champions League football next season after securing a transfer from Brighton and Hove Albion to fellow English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur this week. The 25-year-old had an excellent spell at Brighton where he distinguished himself as one of the EPL’s top central midfielders over the course of four seasons with 124 appearances and 6 goals in all competitions. Brighton finished in ninth place in the 2021-22 EPL season, the club’s best ever finish in England’s top division.

Bissouma will join on a four-year deal for a transfer fee of £25 million plus additional appearance and performance fees. Brighton manager Graham Potter hailed the transfer as good for both Bissouma and the club, stating that the club is wishing him well as he embarks on the challenge he desired of playing on European football’s biggest stage.
