Group A is complete at the 2023 WAFU Zone B U-20 Boys Cup and it will be hosts Ivory Coast who join group winners Burkina Faso in the semifinals. Ivory Coast played Ghana to a 1-1 draw which was enough for The Elephants to confirm their place among the final four teams. The Ivorians opened the scoring early in the second half before Ghana mounted a late rally that was not enough for the Black Satellites who needed a victory to overtake the hosts.
Burkina Faso completed a perfect group stage with a 2-0 result over Niger. The Stallions finish at the top of Group A and will await the second place finisher in Group B. Togo and Benin will play the only Group B match tomorrow to determine the top team in the group. After Nigeria pulled out of the competition it is a guarantee that both Togo and Benin will be in the semifinals.
