The summer transfer window continues to move along with a couple of notable transfers involving African players over the past couple of weeks. More details on the most notable moves are below followed by an extended list of transfers that saw African players change teams:

The two most notable moves involves DR Congo national team star and rising Ivorian talent David Datro Fofana. Bongonda moves to Spartak Moscow from Spanish La Liga side Cádiz for a fee reported to be €7 million. The 27-year-old who previously represented Belgium at the youth national team level and made his debut for the Leopards of DR Congo in 2022 joins the Russian club after scoring four goals and providing three assists in thirty-five appearances for Cádiz.
Datro Fofana, who made only four appearances for English Premier League side Chelsea during the 2022-23 season, joined German Bundesliga club Union Berlin on loan. The 20-year-old will have the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League this season with Union who surprised all the experts by finishing fourth last season.
Algerian attacker Amir Sayoud will be changing clubs in Saudi Arabia, moving to Al-Raed after starring with fellow African players Guy Mbenza, Collins Fai and Knowledge Musona at Al-Tai. Compatriot Monsef Bakrar is off to Major League Soccer side New York City FC after the former ES Sétif forward scored eight goals in thirty-two appearances for Croatian club Istra 1961. Tunisia national team star Naïm Sliti will compete in Qatari football next season after joining Al Ahli Doha from Saudi club Al-Ettifaq on a free transfer.
