Comoros have time to prepare for their maiden Africa Cup of Nations finals while other African national teams are competing in FIFA World Cup qualifying during the September international window. The Coelacanths were knocked out in the first round of the qualifying stages and will host a three team exhibition tournament during the first week of September with Gambia and Seychelles the other teams involved. All three teams were eliminated early in CAF’s World Cup qualifying section, meaning their schedules are free for the tournament that will take place September 2-7.
