The qualifying draw for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is set to be carried out by CAF next Tuesday on April 19, but two nations will be noticeably absent as Zimbabwe and Kenya will not take part due to their current suspensions levied by FIFA. In addition, national teams representing the countries will not be eligible to take part in the 2022 African Nations Championship held next January where local-based teams compete, leaving both countries to deal with administration issues and figure out how to improve domestic football moving forward.
