A good start to life in Ligue 1 saw Ghana national team attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana score four goals and provide two assists in nineteen appearances for Stade Rennais, but 2022 has been a struggle for the 20-year-old due to injuries. Since returning from national team duty with Ghana at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Sulemana has been limited to only two ten-minute cameos for Rennes in 2022 and has not been able to appear for Les Rouge et Noir since February 11 against Paris Saint-Germain.
