Ghana national team striker Benjamin Tetteh completed a move to English football this week with a free transfer to second tier EFL Championship side Hull City. The tall goal scorer joins from Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor on a two-year contract with a club option for a third year following his former club’s relegation from the Turkish Super League.
The 25-year-old scored 14 goals in 60 appearances for Yeni Malatyaspor in all competitions over two seasons, previously spending time mostly in the Czech Republic as well as Belgium. Tetteh scored 22 goals in 98 appearances in the Czech top flight after a little over a season at Standard Liège, moving abroad to the Belgian club from Accra-based club Dreams FC as an 18-year-old.
