Players from North Africa as well as sub-Saharan Africa continue to provide a large amount of goals and assists in the top leagues of the Middle East region and Moroccan attacker Mourad Batna of Al-Fateh is the featured star in this week’s compilation of African goal contributions from the Saudi Pro League and UAE Pro League. Batna was involved in all three goals from Al-Fateh with two goals and an assist in the club’s 3-0 victory at Al-Raed, bringing his total to eleven goals and seven assists in twenty-two appearances. The former FUS Rabat player continues to find success in Middle Eastern club football since leaving for a loan to Emirates Club for the 2016-17 season.
