Goals and assists from African players in Europe: September 29-October 3

The list is long of Nigerian strikers finding success in the top leagues of Europe but there is one more to add. 23-year-old Akor Adams is generating plenty of attention in France’s Ligue 1 with Montpellier and he added two more goals over the weekend in a 3-0 victory at Lorient. The native of Benue State followed the path of another striker who comes from the same state, Gift Orban, by moving from Nigeria to Norwegian football where he developed with Sogndal before thriving at Lillestrøm.
