Former Maritzburg United and South Africa national team forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane continues to impress in Major League Soccer with Minnesota United. The 22-year-old scored his second match winner in three days on Saturday with a goal deep into second half stoppage time in Minnesota’s 1-0 victory at Portland Timbers, making it four goals in his last four matches in all competitions. After making a promising start with two goals and five assists in his first season, Hlongwane already has six goals and an assist in thirteen matches during the 2023 campaign.
