A busy week in UEFA club competitions saw the first legs for the playoff rounds of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League kick off with the pressure on for teams looking to seal their spots in the group stages of each competition. For African footballers it was a productive week with Gabon national team star Guelor Kanga and Ivory Coast national team midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré finding the net for Red Star Belgrade and PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League while the African contingent on Partizan Belgrade and West Ham United made important plays in the Conference League.
