For Africans abroad in European football it was a weekend dominated by Nigerian strikers making the headlines with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen being joined by compatriots Paul Onuachu and Taiwo Awoniyi in making important contributions. Osimhen continued his excellent run of form since returning from injury with the winning goal in Napoli’s 1-0 road victory over AS Roma, making it his third goal in his last three games. Onuachu is in even hotter form with a stunning eight goals in his last five matches for Genk as they cruised to victory in Belgian Pro League action.
