English Premier League club Brentford still have a chance at qualifying for UEFA club competition for the first time in the club’s history and contributions from Cameroon national team forward Bryan Mbeumo as well as DR Congo’s Yoane Wissa have played a major part. Mbeumo scored twice and assisted Wissa for the third goal in Brentford’s 3-1 comeback victory at Tottenham on Saturday. The Bees are two points back of Aston Villa in the race for seventh place and a place in next season’s UEFA Europa Conference League.
Brentford will need a victory against champions Manchester City on the final day but the 2022-23 campaign is another successful season for the club. Mbeumo and Wissa have combined for sixteen goals and ten assists this season and could make the difference next weekend.
