Seattle Sounders left back Nouhou Tolo had made over 150 appearances for the Major League Soccer club without scoring a goal but the Cameroon national team regular and Sounders fan favorite caused the Lumen Field crowd to erupt when he scored the equalizer against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday. The 25-year-old went on to set up Fredy Montero’s winning header with an excellent cross as Seattle continues their push for a playoff spot during the final stretch of the MLS season. In addition to Nouhou’s contributions it was an excellent night for CF Montréal’s African contingent as Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama and Sierra Leonean icon Kei Kamara were crucial to a victory over Canadian rivals Toronto FC.
