Gabon national team star Denis Bouanga did it again over the weekend for Los Angeles FC! The former Saint-Étienne attacker made it seven goals in eight matches for the 2023 Major League Soccer campaign and twelve goals in all competitions when he struck an equalizing goal for LAFC to give his team a point in a 1-1 draw at Nashville SC on Saturday. Bouanga is earning praise of the highest order for his performances this season and is playing with unmatched confidence.
In the second division of American soccer, the USL Championship, former Ghana national team forward Solomon Asante is consistently one of the best players in the league since moving stateside from TP Mazembe in 2018. After a very successful spell with Phoenix Rising, Asante is now at Indy Eleven where the 32-year-old scored his 56th career USL Championship goal and provided an assist in his club’s defeat to Monterey Bay.
