Senegal national team forward Boulaye Dia joined Italian Serie A side Salernitana on loan from Villarreal so he could receive more playing time but his time in Italy has turned into a renaissance. Dia’s strong performances are helping Salernitana in their bid to avoid relegation with his goal and assist leading the way in I Granata’s 3-0 victory over Sassuolo on Saturday. The 26-year-old now has eleven goals and six assists in twenty-eight appearances this season and looks set for a permanent transfer considering his loan has a purchase clause for Salernitana.
